Halloween Layout using A Child's Year

All the cutouts for this layout are from the Cricut cartridge "A Child's Year". I just love the silhouette look of the images from this cartridge. I wish I could tell you who makes the paper but I bought it at a garage sale and it didn't have any information printed on it.

Just a reminder: You can click on most of the images in this blog to see them closer.

Family Portrait: Circa early 1980s

I'm slowly working on an album that contains pictures from my childhood. It's a long task but the other day I finished one page. This is my family. I don't exactly know what year it was but I'm guessing somewhere around 1980. You gotta love the hats in this picture. My dads cowboy hat with the big feather and my older brothers baseball hats are so 80's. Lots of Tim Holtz stuff here. I LOVE Tim Holtz. His hardware is awesome and I love his masks (more of those to come in future posts). Most of the flowers are Prima, except for the hydrangeas. Those are from an old outdated floral arrangement/decor that I dis-assembled.

Newport Beach

I haven't posted anything in a while. Sorry for that. We've been busy with playdates and other summer activities. We had a campout in the backyard a couple of nights ago. The kids had so much fun!

Anyways...I thought since it's summer I would try to get some of my summer layouts done. This is my daughter Olivia playing in the sand at Huntington Beach in June 2007.

Can you believe this is me? Quite a few years ago, obviously. This is the first page I've completed for MY scrapbook. It's going to be quite a journey. Some of the flowers were cut with my Cricut and some are from an old flower arrangement that I disassembled (hey...something to do with all those flower arrangements from the 80s and 90s!). I went a little crazy with the border punch but it was new.

These are a few of my favorite things..

I've been scrapbooking and doing paper crafts for about four years now. It took a lot of trial and error to develop an arsenal of tools for all the cutting, gluing and attaching that I do. These are things that I take to every crop and that I keep close by in my portable organizer when doing projects. Unless I'm desperate or purchasing from Stampin' Up, I never by anything without it being on sale (at least 40% off) or with a coupon. There are many other things that I use but these I can't go without. I will be showcasing other products in the future so check in often!
