Cheerleading Megaphone

This is a megaphone that I added vinyl to for Olivia's cheerleading squad to use in their competition last year. I forgot to take a picture before giving it to her coach. When I saw it recently at a fundraiser, I snapped a picture.

Girl Baby Shower

Although it was over two years ago, I thought I would post some pictures from my sister-in-laws baby shower. This was such a fun party to make things for. I loved the colors (pink and brown) and getting to use butterflies and other little creatures. I also tried to tie in the "clothesline" theme that is so popular now.

The invitation. It was a standard folding card. This is the outside of the card. The information was printed inside.

Cheerleading Bucket

Part of reason that I haven't been posting lately is that my daughter started cheerleading this month. She cheers for the Yucaipa Junior All American Football. We have practice three times a month and starting next month, a game every Saturday. The girls bring a bucket (originally a paint bucket) with them to games to keep their stuff in and sit on when they are not cheering. I wanted to share some pictures of the vinyl that I used to decorate her bucket. Everything was cut with my Cricut using a variety of cartridges, including Hello Kitty Greetings, Opposites Attract, George, Paper Doll Dress Up, Everyday Paper Dolls, and Plantin' Schoolbook. The only exception is the megaphones. The ones on this picture were a rub-on that didn't stay on. I cut new megaphones using the Everyday Paper Doll Cartridge. I used vinyl made by Cricut and also bought vinyl on e-bay because it came in the additional colors that I needed, blue and gold. I think the vinyl has stood up well, especially since it's being dragged around by a 5-year old in dirty fields.

Is it time to go to the beach yet? Summer's coming! This is my daughter. We stopped at a beach in Galveston, Texas while visiting Jim's parents in 2006.

Airplane Bedroom

I can't believe I am FINALLY done with my boys room. The boys have to share a room so I had to be careful with the decor in there. Not too babyish for the older boy. Most of the wall decor was completed back in November (from Liam's airplane birthday party) but I've been dragging my feet to get it up and finish the room. Too bad Liam's crib tent covers up some of the airplane. He will be using a toddler bed soon so I didn't see a point in hanging it twice.

The vinyl was cut using my Cricut and the Opposites Attract and Everyday Paper Dolls cartridges.

I painted these shelves and little bookcase so they would match the airplane.

The Red Dress

I took these pictures on the 4th of July in 2007. I rubbed the flowers with ink, they were originally just cream colored.

I was thinking red, white and blue but the red dress ended up dominating so much of the pictures that when I went to scrap it, all I saw was red.
